We are blessed to have our base at High Jervaulx Farm right here in the Nidderdale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. With lbeautiful undulating pastureland and stunning parkland there are beautiful footpaths and bridle paths for everyone to enjoy. Walkers can park all day and ramble amongst the lush pasture fields and through the nearby historic villages. Dogs are welcome too.
Whether you fancy a short stroll or something more challenging, the walking trails around Brymor couldn't be more enjoyable. With plenty of free parking and a range of trails to choose from, it's easy to get away from it all in the countryside around the farm. Brymor is very close to Jervaulx Abbey; founded by Cistercian monks in 1156 and nearly is the village of Thornton Steward, a quiet village which can be traced back to 1041 and a pre-Conquest Saxon Land Charter. Danby Hall and Danby Grange are also amounts the many places of historical interest nearby and trails follow the beautiful meandering River Ure.
And of course, when you have finished your walk, you have earned the well deserved refreshments and ice creams available in the parlour!
One of our favourites is the walk from Jervaulx Abbey to Thornton Steward - you can find out more and download the route here. Of if you fancy shorter routes, try our 1.5 mile and 4 mile circular routes around the farm.
