Parlour & Cafe

Situated at High Jervaulx Farm in the rolling hills of lower Wensleydale, our Parlour and Café have become an obligatory stop for passing visitors and locals alike. The Parlour is within very easy driving distance from Leyburn, Middleham, Masham and Bedale, and is just round the corner from the beautiful Jervaulx Abbey.

With over 25 flavours of ice cream and sorbet on offer it can be difficult to come to a quick decision! Once you’ve settled on a flavour, sit back and enjoy the Yorkshire Dales countryside in our play area garden. Let time drift away watching the swallows diving, the tractors collecting the silage, all the while with a deliciously creamy ice cream in hand- it’s no wonder that Brymor has become etched in many childhood memories!

We also offer a light grazing menu sourcing all our ingredients locally- our cheeses on the Ploughman’s lunch are from the famous Wensleydale Creamery and our preserves are from award-winning Rosebud Preserves of Masham.

If you are looking for something a little more indulgent you can try some of our monstrous Sundaes; from Knickerbocker Glories to Honeycomb Crunches, or come up with your own concoction.

In conjunction with Executive Chef Stephanie Moon, we have relaunched our menu for 2019!  We have given our existing classics a twist, added some new and exciting dishes we think you will love as well as rebooting our famous ice cream sundae menu.  We serve food all day every day and we hope there is something for everyone to enjoy.

  • Seating for 150.
  • Wheelchair accessible, with dedicated disabled parking spaces and a disabled toilet.
  • Coaches always welcome.
  • We do allow well-behaved dogs but they have to be kept on a lead please.
  • All of our ice cream and sorbet selection are available in take-home packs.
  • Our traditionally made Golden Clotted Cream & Golden whole milk is available to buy.
  • Ice Cream cakes made bespoke for any occasion, please call to arrange this.

A new menu and new ice cream flavours for Spring 2019!

We've been thrilled to work with Stephanie Moon, one of the region's top food consultants, to help us make the most of our own lovely Guernsey milk and ice cream as well as bring in exciting local produce.  We now serve hot food all day every day so whether it's a breakfast at 3pm or ice cream at 10am, the choice is yours. 

We use Rogers of Masham for all our meat so an all day breakfast of local bacon and sausages is made extra special and we now have the most amazing porridge, made super creamy with Brymor milk. 

You will be spoilt for choice with our all day grazing menu.  Whether it's ham eggs and chips, a mac and cheese made with Fountain's Gold or just a fruity scone and pot of tea, it might be hard to decide!

For ice cream lovers, the amazing choice of flavours gets better with the addition of three new flavours coming this Spring. Mootezer is a cheeky take on the famous malty chocolate sweet, Lemon-ness is a tart and fruity summer flavour and Cookie Dough is glorious rubbly chocolate dough mixed through our amazing traditional ice cream.
