The Moore family founded Brymor in 1984 when milk quotas were introduced. Made originally in Weeton on the edge of Wharfedale, their ice cream was an instant success, but the business quickly outgrew Weeton.
Following a two year search Brian and Brenda Moore moved their family and cows to High Jervaulx Farm close by the beautiful abbey where Wensleydale cheese was first produced.
The farm and ice cream business are very much a family affair now run by Brian and Brenda's son, Robert, and his wife Diane employing three generations of Moores plus full and part time staff.
P.S. from Brian 'We hope that you enjoy our ice cream as much as we do!'
